Some Linux downloads with truncated filenames

so, I'm grabbing stuff from Patreon in both windows and linux, and some of the linux downloads are getting truncated and garbled filenames like 2YYL6V~L.JPG while that never happens with the windows version. Am I correct to assume that using

./gallery-dl.bin -f /O (etc etc etc) 

would force it to retain those original(/windows) filenames? I can't quite decipher what's in the help.

You can use -o path-restrict=windows
When you download using Linux it automatically allows characters in filenames that are allowed in Linux but not Windows which makes the filenames look like that in Windows.
