Steps to Reproduce:

1. Go to the Github Co-pilot chat on the side
2. Ask/Edit and make sure it returns a list and you'll see the padding on left is cut off

I cannot reproduce the issue.

Could you try get detailed versions by: Help > About > Copy and Close?

At the same time, could you try zoom in / out or change font, see if that can find the cause and unblock yourself.

Example image with padding cut off to the left

when it lists like this is cuts it off on the left can you see it, this happens every time a detailed description is given per response and it looks very weird

@mattyharty I am also facing the same issue, for a long time now, using Rider, Window OS

@yuwon6881 Yeah it's a bit annoying now. I think this is a Windows Rider issue. I think @jiec-msft is possibly using a Mac version of Rider

@mattyharty when opening new tabs, did your copilot windows shakes a little? It pisses me off everytime looking at it

Yes it kinda does.. from what I am noticing the biggest issue here after confirming with my MAC colleagues is that the UI and paddings are way off between Mac and Windows - looking at this you can see the major difference in the display box and response. This version seems to be almost Mardown but my screenshot looks like a notepad response... hopefully they can fix this

Yea the Mac version looks so much nicer compared to windows, no love for windows user I see

@mattyharty I'm also on windows. I get the same (or similar) issue once installed and enable the plugin com.chrisrm.idea.MaterialThemeUI (9.8.1).

Could you try disable that Material Theme UI plugin to verify if that's the cause?

I noticed you updated the description with the plugin versions (copilot, IDE, OS and other plugins), these information helps me repro the issue, thank you for sharing them!

@jiec-msft Yeah so it does mess up Copilot - I tried it now. The issue here is I guess a lot of people will be affected by this as Material UI is a very popular plugin. Glad I could help
