As I got tired of hunting for the
gui.pyfile around my filesystem, this commit adds a small convenience script which installs a.desktopfile (see here for instance), so it's available to the user when browsing among applications. The user can also specify whether they used a virtualenv for installing the requirements (myself included).Linux only though (should work on any mainstream distro), I have no idea how something like this could be implemented for other operating systems.
Error handling could probably be improved, but it should be able to handle most scenarios.
