I believe not providing PartialOrd and Ord was a deliberate decision, given that they are not ordered. We use Ordering::Relaxed to generate consecutive ones, thus ordering across handlers is not guaranteed.
What is the value of adding PartialOrd here?

This is only true for inbound IDs. I don't mind either way. We can switch to
Something like this needs to be documented on the type in my opinion otherwise we just rely on historical knowledge that certainly external contributors don't have (and I didn't either). |
