Linux

Joplin version

3.3.12

Desktop version info

Joplin 3.3.12 (prod, linux)

Device: linux, 11th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-1135G7 @ 2.40GHz
Client-ID: de3da1d9c68c44a5910cad5a5f7afd95
Sync-Version: 3
Profil-Version: 47
Unterstützter Schlüsselbund: Nein
Alternative instance ID: -

Revision: de0c05a (master)

Backup: 1.4.3
Freehand Drawing: 3.0.1

Current behaviour

  1. Launch Joplin
  2. Make sure that the main window is open.
  3. Click the tray icon
  4. If the main window is active, nothing happens. If it is behind other windows, it is brought to front.

Expected behaviour

Other apps with a tray icon show a different behavior (which is why my muscle memory fails with Joplin): When clicking the tray icon, the main window is hidden ("close to tray"), no matter if it is currently active or not. In order to make a window in the background active, you can just double click the tray icon (first click: hide window, second click: show window).
