Hi @brandonbell. Thanks for your PR.

I'm waiting for a kubernetes-sigs member to verify that this patch is reasonable to test. If it is, they should reply with /ok-to-test on its own line. Until that is done, I will not automatically test new commits in this PR, but the usual testing commands by org members will still work. Regular contributors should join the org to skip this step.

Once the patch is verified, the new status will be reflected by the ok-to-test label.

I understand the commands that are listed here.

Instructions for interacting with me using PR comments are available here. If you have questions or suggestions related to my behavior, please file an issue against the kubernetes/test-infra repository.

Thanks for this @brandonbell 🙇 Do you have a copy of the error thats reported? It would be good to capture that in an issue that we can link to this PR....so for anyone searching on the same error they will see there is an issue/pr already.

would you be able to share any testing that you have done with this?

Absolutely. Creating the GCPCluster type with:

    subnets:
    - name: gce-test1
      cidrBlock: 10.250.0.0/18
      secondaryCidrBlocks:
        pods: 10.250.128.0/17
        services: 10.250.64.0/18

fails per the googleapi: Error 400: Required field 'resource.secondaryIpRanges[0].rangeName' not specified error from the controller. Updating the image to brandonbell/cluster-api-gcp-controller:arm64 (Dockerhub) built from the branch successfully creates the secondary ranges matching the name/range.
