Cherry-pick of upstream PR jwohlwend#488 by papagala. Content-Type header in authentication headers causes issues with some MSA servers. Also fixes docs link to auth section.

Motivation
This MR removes the
Content-Typekey from the authentication headers. Some MSA servers actually expect different content type, and authentication should not try to change this type.Additionally, fixed the links from the main README.md file to the authentication instructions.
