Replace node-env-file with dotenv #26

In this PR, I

Remove the npm package node-env-file
Remove the .env file from version control
Add the dotenv package
Commit the .env.example to version control to serve as a template for a .env file
Update the instructions and check for ENV variables in the bot.js initialization script
