Description
Describe the issue you are experiencing
This week I noticed my Proxmox node made a considerable jump in power consumption from 6-10W to 20-30W.
The CPU load of the VM with Home Assistant OS has always been around 2% but during the week it first increased to a stable 15% and a few days later to 30%.
One of the first things I did was to restart HAOS in Safe Mode which made no difference.
When I checked in HAOS addons I saw that Piper reported 14% CPU load. How that ended up as 30% for the VM I don't know but when disabling Piper everything went back to normal. The node power consumption is back at 6-10W and HAOS VM CPU load is around 2%

Additional information
I just had the addon enabled for a test a while ago. I am not really using the addon but thought I'd report this if others experience problems.
