BTT Scylla board can't connect to

I run the firmware with the sd card, and it installs it because the firmware file changes over like it does with the default firmware. But I can't connect to the board, it doesn't appear on any com port connection and because of that i can't do anything with it. And even though this board is supported, there's no information for install and all that regarding it. Or maybe my board is broken because even with the default can detect it bt not connect because "waiting on sbc connect". Or maybe thats because the manaul is missing install instructions for some reason.

What firmware image are you installing? Will need the the bootloader variant if loading from SD card...

ya that seems to have fixed it, it now connects and everything. This whole time i was assuming the bootloader option was something else, because surely it would be note if it was the correct option. Though what was the default then?
Anyways now to figure out how to set up the wifi connection for this board, though not super needed since i can connect a pi to it and remote connect pi like i did on my basic grbl machine.

also one question this board is 4 axis able, only going to use 3 for now. But when i set to 4 axis loss motor options, not sure what that means. Though i feel like leaving everything at the default isn't a bad right right now

Anyways now to figure out how to set up the wifi connection for this board, though not super needed since i can connect a pi to it and remote connect pi like i did on my basic grbl machine.

To use WiFi on the Scylla you will need to enable the ESP-AT plugin in the Web Builder, and have an ESP32 module with AT function on UART0 (TXD0/GPIO1 & RXD0/GPIO3). Am not sure what ESP firmwares have that configuration by default, I ended up using the ESP at.py tool to customise a WROOM binary to use UART0 for AT commands..

But when i set to 4 axis loss motor options, not sure what that means.

It just means you no longer have the option for a ganged axis (as you no longer have a spare motor output).

The wifi seems to be ok documented for the scylla, so set up shouldn't be unreasonable.

Though regarding the axis, there the abc to uvw setting. Anything regarding that setting? I feel like i dont need to worry about that since i have connections for on board drivers plus my board also has direct abc connections incase i ever have it run steppers the on board drivers can't handle.

Also thank you for this help, really hard to find information on these topics. If theres any tips you can give woulld greatly appericate it. Otherwise i thing most things are sorted ut, and i just need to finish putting together the machine. Also figure out what wires on the stepper motors are what, since they don't have connectors and unlabeled

Though regarding the axis, there the abc to uvw setting.

It is for remapping ABC axis letters to UVW, useful if your CAM software does not use ABC and require UVW. IIRC hotwire machines/related CAM may.
