Summary of Changes

Hello @xushiwei, I'm Gemini Code Assist1! I'm currently reviewing this pull request and will post my feedback shortly. In the meantime, here's a summary to help you and other reviewers quickly get up to speed!

This pull request focuses on enhancing the debugging experience for ClassDefs operations. It refines how type names are presented in debug logs by removing an unnecessary capitalization step and introduces a new, conditional log point to signal the completion of ClassDefs processing. These changes aim to provide more accurate and informative debug output, aiding in understanding the flow and state of the system during development.

Highlights

  • Debug Logging Refinement: The debug logging for type names in codebuild.go has been adjusted to remove the automatic capitalization provided by strings.Title, ensuring type names are logged with their original casing.
  • New Debug Instrumentation: A new debug log statement (log.Println("ClassDefsEnd")) has been added to the ClassDefs.End method in type_var_and_const.go, which will only be active when the debugInstr flag is enabled, providing clearer visibility into the completion of ClassDefs operations.

🧠 New Feature in Public Preview: You can now enable Memory to help Gemini Code Assist learn from your team's feedback. This makes future code reviews more consistent and personalized to your project's style. Click here to enable Memory in your admin console.

Code Review

This pull request enhances debugging capabilities by adding a new debug log statement in ClassDefs.End and refactoring an existing one in CodeBuilder.End to remove a deprecated function call. The changes are correct and improve code maintainability. The implementation looks good, and I have no further comments.

LGTM - Clean debug instrumentation improvements. Two changes:

  1. ✅ Removed deprecated strings.Title() from debug output (codebuild.go:2878)
  2. ✅ Added ClassDefsEnd logging to match existing ClassDefsStart pattern

Note: Debug output format will change slightly (e.g., "if" instead of "If"), but this is acceptable as debug output is not part of the stable API and strings.Title has been deprecated since Go 1.18.
