The affected range < 2025.1.0 also matches spiral/roadrunner 3.0.0, which is not vulnerable.

RoadRunner changed its versioning scheme twice: 1.x and 2.x (up to 2.12.3, 2023), then calendar versions 2023.1.0 through 2025.1.x, then semantic versions again with 3.0.0 (released 2026-10-09). Under Composer's ordering, 3.0.0 sorts between 2.12.3 and 2023.1.0, so < 2025.1.0 flags it.

3.0.0 is built with Go 1.27 (go.mod at v3.0.0), well past the Go releases that fixed CVE-2025-22871 (1.23.8 / 1.24.2, GO-2025-3563). 2.12.3 is built with Go 1.20 (go.mod at v2.12.3) and stays affected.

This change splits the range so every previously flagged version except 3.0.0 is still affected:

  • <= 2.12.3
  • >= 2023.1.0-alpha.1, < 2025.1.0

Impact of the current range: composer audit fails and Composer 2.9+ refuses to resolve spiral/roadrunner 3.0.0, which roadrunner/http 4.2 and roadrunner/worker 3.8 require. Version list: https://packagist.org/packages/spiral/roadrunner
