Check whether the `tabs` style works correctly after the first public release of Golden Gate

On macOS 27 beta 2, there're some renaming happening in the tab bar, we still need to check whether the tab bar works correctly after the first public release.

You can run the UI tests in Xcode to verify most of the existing tab related UI with macos-titlebar-style = tabs

• Also check whether we should make this a dynamic dispatch var/func and make a Golden Gate tabs subclass?
• Same for hidden style, since there's a workaround on macOS 27 to hide the scroll pocket.

Current tip version works fine now, we want to do a final check before or after the final release of macOS.

Please only comment here if you are experiencing tab bar related issues with tip version.

For now, for those that need to know, you can comment out

macos-titlebar-style = tabs

in your settings to get the other style of tabs, and they work in the beta :)

As mentioned in the Meta issue, please use tip channel to check whether the issues still exist in macOS beta, then consider making a comment or opening a new discussion.

Just updated to the public beta of mac OS 27 and noticed an issue with tabs header:

It doesn't matter how wide the window is it always looks like this. Here's my Ghostty version and config:

Stable 1.3.1 predates the macOS 27 tabs-titlebar frame fix (#13001, fixed by #13069, merged 2026-06-22)

So a known issue then - try the Tip Release where it has been fixed for a while now.
