Looks like this one's a dud, but interesting error on the last attempt:

Running the jobs under a container pinned to some fixed version may help avoid these issues in the future. Even better if the container already has the cross-compilation tools installed.

Yeah that's a good idea @slaren . We definitely need something more deterministic because the sporadic failures are too frequent!

After looking over a few things I have come to a couple conclusions:

1. The Vulkan build is working on the Debian container—we could do something similar (as mentioned by @slaren ), setting up the dependencies and such manually. Or we could try something like dockcross. However, it's not exactly clear to me in this case how to pull in Vulkan with or without compiling it (need more research).
2. For now, we probably want to simply roll back to master version and simply comment out the breaking Vulkan jobs (all except the loongarch build).
3. Just because we can doesn't mean we should. Adding the initial cross builds started primarily out of curiosity which was seeming to work for a while... But now, perhaps some research is warranted into which platforms actually do hardware acceleration with Vulkan and get rid of the ones that only do software emulation.
4. The most important thing to test in the CI here is cpu builds—thankfully those are working. 😊

So, I am thinking if you all agree, we can comment out the failing Vulkan builds to buy us some time. I will do research into the docker builds, but it might take a couple weeks to get them going, as I am hoping to release the tool I've been working on next week (will post in the show and tell section when it's ready).
