Error uploading files with German umlauts (äöü)

I can't upload files with German umlauts in the filename. I tried on gmail.com and komoot.com.

When using drag&drop, the browser crashes, when using the file picker portal, I get an error that the file is 0 bytes.

When uploading the same file after renaming it by removing the umlauts, upload works just fine.

I'm experiencing the exact same issue on Aurora (Fedora-atomic distro). In my case, it happens with Portuguese accents (like 'á', 'é', 'õ') in folder and file names.

If the path contains an accent, the upload fails with a RESULT_CODE_KILLED_BAD_MESSAGE error or the file is shown as 0 bytes/unreadable. If i try to drag a file to the browser, is it containers specal caracter Chrome can't open. As soon as I rename the folder to remove the accents (e.g., from 'Chalés' to 'Chales'), it works perfectly.

This is a major deal-breaker for users who rely on organized file systems or cloud-mounted drives (like Google Drive via Dolphin/KIO) where accented folders are standard. It seems the Flatpak sandbox or the portal integration is failing to handle UTF-8 paths correctly for the Chrome/Chromium engine.
