Unable to access some files, crashes on dragndrop.

Trying to drag-and-drop some files crashes the browser with sigtrap. Doing the same from the file picker gives a "file unreadable" message on Google Drive. This happens to files both in allowed directories ($HOME/Downloads/) and outside them ($HOME/Desktop/), and has no relation to permissions (different files can have the same and yet one is accessable by the browser, while another is not).

Same thing happens with Chromium flatpak. Would love is someone points to some misconfiguration on my end.

P.S. Other Flatpaks (including non-chromium browsers can access these files normally)

So, after some tinkering I figured out the issue to be LANGUAGE and LC_ALL not being set in my environment. This causes crashes or access errors for files which have non-ASCII characters in their path (Cyrillic or CJK). This may be a bug from upstream, or with this package, but I think that if these two aren't set, their value should be inferred from LANG, which was set.

Edit the file /etc/environment (on Fedora Atomic it might be at /var/etc/environment)
add there

export LC_ALL=en_US.UTF-8
export LANGUAGE=en_US.UTF-8

or whatever your locale is (echo $LANG to check)
