Displays do not work properly when using aliases as index_pattern

I'm using an alias name when I defined the workspace index_pattern and the display's index_pattern. I always want to test on the data of all indexes currently in this alias.

Un the Judgements page however, mys results are only displayed in JSON. However, it only shows the fields from my index that I added to my display. But I do not get the rendered version (using my markdown definition.) (See screenshot)
Once I changed the index_patterns in the workspace and the displays, it worked.

@andywerner thanks for your contribution. I've run into this myself, and I agree that it will be helpful to support index aliases. It's an enhancement that requires planning the best way to resolve index names to index aliases, what to do when a document belongs to an index referenced by multiple index aliases, and what to do when the indices are no longer referenced by those alias. I don't have an implementation plan for this yet, but I'll mark it as an enhancement request.
