Get selection position of window

I need to get the position of the selected text range of the window to show some pop-ups (for add/edit annotations).
Something like this:

I tried to find a way but couldn't.
We need to add a new ipcRenderer to send that position.
May I contribute to adding this feature to the preload of the navigator?
