In the registry there is a mix of services with paths starting with %SystemRoot% and \SystemRoot\. For some reason when CreateService() creates the service in our case %SystemRoot% gets converted to \SystemRoot\ but it seems to work fine. The paths to the mounter and driver are verified before attempting installation and an error code is returned if they don't exist.
