missing kartik-v/yii2-widget-select2 dependency

Commit 33bba58 introduced a dependency to kartik-v/yii2-widget-select2:^v2.2.4 which is not covered in composer.json

@germanbisurgi Why depend on this package at all? Couldn't we just require select2 directly in this case? Kartik brings a lot of overhead with its "base package" kartik-v/yii2-krajee-base, which we don’t need. Maybe we could add select2/select2:>=4.0.0 (see composer.json from kartik-v/yii2-widget-select2) as a dependency for this package and create a custom asset bundle instead. I know it’s not ideal, but it’s better than a few hundred extra lines of code.

+1 to avoid such dependencies like the plague!

In my specific case, I actually just wanted to test a dmstr/pages update. In the process, a newer Json editor came along, which (now) requires yii2-widget-select2:^v2.2.4. The JSON editor update resulted in errors at first because the select2 dependency is not required in composer.json. After "fixing" that (update kartik), I can now start looking for where I need to make "other" adjustments, because the kartik-select2 things are “ embedded” in various corners of the (phd) project, but now behave “slightly” differently.
Yes, hopefully “only” style adjustments are needed, and yes, the versions are not bleeding-edge and I could have looked at this a long time ago, but I really have better things to do than worry about stuff like this.

And just to be clear, this isn't about badmouthing anything or anyone, but simply about pointing out why one shouldn't just “quickly” add such dependencies...
