Describe The Bug

The Ring Plug-in doesn't seem to work fully. It has found all of my cameras but I cannot get a video stream on them. All of the cameras on the Homebridge Dashboard show BATTERY, MOTION, SPEAKER & MICROPHONE but nowehere can I find a video stream of the cameras.

Just installed the Ring Plug-in for Homebridge.

Expected behavior

A way to view video from each camera.

If you mean look at the stream in the Home app, you have to read the logs. You'll notice that it says "Please add [camname] manually in Home app. Setup Code: xxx-xx-xxx The cameras have to be added separately in HomeKit from the Homebridge bridge.

If you mean in Homebridge-UI directly I don't think there's a way? Is there?

When I open up my Home app none of the cameras are available to add. I go to Add Accessory and no cameras pop up.

@DodgerGuy22 is your phone on the same network as your homebridge server? If not, it won't be able to discover the camera devices being broadcast.

I was having exactly the same problem for several months. I just reimaged the entire Homekit and set everything up new hoping to solve this, initially to no effect. The Ring devices appeared as motion detectors, lights, etc, but there were no cameras or video feeds. I looked at the Homebridge logs and they said I had to connect the 3 cameras manually in the Home app. I had tried that earlier but they didn't appear. After this showed up in the Homebridge logs these steps finally worked: In the Home app, click plus to add an accessory. At the top of the screen there is a red link that says More options... click on that and you will see your cameras, you have to add them one at a time, you will need to enter the number that is below the QR code on the Homebridge UI home page as the code for each camera in this screen. This fixed it for me, the video feeds and cameras are all showing up.
