Description
I submitted the pcbs to be made at JLCPCB and they have had several issues. I didn’t review the Gerbers outside of checking it once uploaded to JLCPCB. I normally deal in Kicad projects and so normally just look at the settings and design files there to answer these questions.
The first issue well rather a cost issue, was the hole sizes. It needed kelvin wire testing which nearly tripled the cost of the boards. Due to the min hole sizes. Unsure if these could be changed or if it’s intended.
There was another issue with a “blue line” that appears to be the silkscreen for the lcd panel but it’s possible that it’s something else.
The latest issue I’m not sure how to handle. The text from the JLCPCB engineer “ After we compensated the indicated holes, the round pad of them will connected with square pads”. So sounds like the vias will connect to the pads? It looks like some ground stitching but I’d rather not short the boards on a guess. I’m still a hardware design novice.
