Bot not responding to messages

Hey,
For some reason the bot is not dming when i do ping / pong, can someone help.

This is copied from the examples but when for some reason i want to get it just the token to be on the file for me it doesnt work, im running this when its built

Nowdays the bots require also another intent: discordgo.IntentMessageContent.
You would need to change this line to dg.Identify.Intents = discordgo.IntentsGuildMessages | discordgo.IntentMessageContent.

It refers to the MESSAGE_CONTENT privileged intent that allows the bot to read messages in guild channels.
There are some exceptions for which the bot can read the messages without this intent like when the bot is @mentioned.
In the case of text commands (i.e. not /slash commands, but regular messages prefixed with "!") sent in guild channels, it needs that intent, otherwise the contents of the message received by the bot will be empty.
