Hi,

Sorry to hear the package is not installing. I also can't install it from Github for some reason, I'm just looking into this. However, I can install it fine locally. I first download the zip file under "clone or download" and upzip the package locally. I then run these:

setwd("~/path_to_where_you_upzipped_package/FluxnetLSM/")
install.packages(".", repos=NULL, type='source')

Hope this works but if not, I will let you know once i have fixed the Github installation.

Hi,

This seems to have something to do with the devtools package. I can download the package with devtools_1.11.1, but it fails with devtools_2.0.1 (you can check what you have by running sessionInfo()). You could try downgrading the package if the local download fails. Note I can't test this on a Windows so I don't know if the version numbers on my Mac apply.

I followed your suggestion and I reintalled devtools_1.11.1.
But the package can not be installed correctely.

Hi,

Another user encountered this error before and the problem wasn't FluxnetLSM but rather one of the packages that it imports. Could you try running each of these lines and see if any of them fail?

install.packages("rvest")
install.packages("R.utils")
install.packages("ncdf4")

If the ncdf4 package fails, see this post for instructions on how to install NetCDF libraries.

Hi Anna,

I also have trouble with installation in windows.
I got the --no-staged-install ERROR https://community.rstudio.com/t/no-staged-install-error/35321.
This error will disappear when changing the package name from FluxnetLSM to fluxnetLSM.

Could you publish this package to cran? In this way, we can install it more easily.

Hi Dongdong,

Unfortunately there is a current problem with the devtools method, but in my experience the package can still be installed fine by cloning the repository. I don't have access to a Windows machine to test the package on that platform separately.

Because the package is still under active development, there are no plans to publish it in CRAN. Also so far most installation problems have been related to the other packages that FluxnetLSM relies on.

Sorry, I do not know the detailed processing procedure of FluxnetLSM. I am trying to learn 4 years ago. But actually not, because occupied by other affairs.

It has been a long time before my previous commit. You might need to revise on the top of @aukkola's latest script.
