Sorry for answering two years late, just discovered this tool and better late than never anyway.
Did you try removing the one hyphen before the -o output flag?
It is common for abbreviated flags to have one hyphen (-), like -o filename.txt and for non-abbreviated parameters to have two hyphens (--), like --project projectname. Also as you can see from the project's readme file the correct syntax is -o subdomains.txt.
That would be ./commonspeak2 --project crunchbox-160315 -o subdomains.txt in your case.
