[MNG-8218] Non-normalized paths are compared which fails when using relativePath

Given a project structure of

parent/pom.xml
parent/common/pom.xml
parent/common_biometriccommon/pom.xml

Where the common module pom references submodules like so

<modules>
  <module>../common_biometriccommon</module> 

And the biometriccommon child module references its parent

  <relativePath>../common/pom.xml</relativePath>
</parent> 

The build is successful with 3.9.9 but fails in Maven 4 with an Internal error: java.lang.IllegalStateException: No unique Source for ...

Robert Scholte Delany I've set up a project at 

apache/maven-integration-testing#352 to reproduce the problem, but it builds fine with Maven 4.0.0-beta-3, alpha-12, beta-4-SNAPSHOT.

Can you check the reproducer and fix it to actually reproduce the problem ?

How can I run just this one integration test locally?

It's not integrated yet, just run the following commands:

cd core-it-suite/src/test/resources/mng-8218
mvn install

Could you at least paste the full log, stack trace, environment, etc... ?

The problem comes from dependencies.  

You need to come up with a reproducer.  Maybe keep your full project hierarchy and remove all the source classes as a first step ?

Delany It fails for me but with an unrelated problem: a missing version on commons-io.  And if I add a valid version to this dependency, the build works with beta-3.
