What about the curl error "Failed to open/read local data from file/application on handle"?

I often see the error log appearing constantly, and I have to restart the service. Maybe it occurs after my laptop wake up from suspend.

You have most likely a broken curl version. Please ensure you:

• Configure the client to use IPv4 only and HTTP/1.1
• Use 'curl' and 'libcurl' 8.14.1 as a minimum. If you are using something newer try and downgrade to this known good version.

If this resolves your issue, raise a bug against 'curl' for the Failed to open/read local data from file/application on handle problem for the 'curl' version you were using as that explicit message is generated from 'curl' .. and not this client.

Thanks. I’m using Arch Linux, and my curl version is the latest (8.17.0). I’ve followed the troubleshooting steps and tried adjusting my configuration.

It sounds like you potentially need to investigate 2 avenues then:

• Option A: systemd “system-sleep” hook
• Option B: a dedicated systemd unit tied to sleep targets

Option A

With Option A, systemd-suspend.service runs executables in /usr/lib/systemd/system-sleep/ supporting 2 arguments for suspend, hibernate etc.

What you will need to develop is a script, that restarts the systemd service you have enabled, so when you are sleeping your laptop or waking your laptop, you 'stop' the applicable 'onedrive' system service, then when you wake/resume, you start the 'onedrive' service.

Option B

You can also create a oneshot unit that is pulled in by suspend/resume targets. The Arch/systemd docs generally treat system-sleep scripts as “local hacks”, even though they’re widely used. Reference: https://man.archlinux.org/man/systemd-sleep.8.en
