injected values and responses to a read request

Hello,
I have a KNX node that should send both injected values and responses to a read request. This works fine as long as two conditions are not met:

1. a Node-Red restart
2. changes to the KNX node

In both cases, a read request returns a zero to the KNX requestor. How is it possible to keep the data persistent on the KNX Ultimate side so that the current/last values are sent with a read response?

My KNX Ultimate version is: 3.3.36

Set the “Read status on start” to read to persistent file. There are some options avaiable.

Hello,
even after setting “read the last value saved to file prior to disconnection” a null was output after a node-red restart. However, the persistent file “/home/pi/.node-red/knxultimatestorage/knxpersistvalues/knxpersist76be0496.0823ec.json” contains the correct value “123” (0/5/80\“,\”rawValue\“:{\”type\“:\”Buffer\“,\”data":[123]}).

can you unzip this file into your .node-red/node_modules/node-red-contrib-knx-ultimate/nodes folder and restart node-red?
Then let me know. There was an error preventing the nodes to load the persist data.

Yes.
The persist file is only deleted, whenever you enter the node config and do some changes.

I have copied the file into the appropriate directory and restarted Node-Red. During the read request via the bus I received the following error message in the connected debug node:

7.5.2025, 15:02:40node: debug 455
msg : error
“TypeError: Cannot convert undefined or null to object”

A look at the file containing the persistent statuses shows no entry for the affected GA

.... but after a new Node-Red restart, the value of the GA is set to the old value so that the value is available to the caller with the next read request. However, with the error message previously communicated to you (debug node)

... and I found then also the persistent entry in the corresponding file. At what time is the data written to the file?

Once in a while. Usually at the reception of any telegram.
