[ Upstream commit 7f109f7 ]

When vrf's ->newlink is called, if register_netdevice() fails then it
does free_netdev(), but that's also done by rtnl_newlink() so a second
free happens and memory gets corrupted, to reproduce execute the
following line a couple of times (1 - 5 usually is enough):
$ for i in `seq 1 5`; do ip link add vrf: type vrf table 1; done;
This works because we fail in register_netdevice() because of the wrong
name "vrf:".

And here's a trace of one crash:

lock_timer_base() does a try_lock() which deadlocks on the waiter lock
not the lock itself.
This patch takes the waiter_lock with trylock so it should work from interrupt
context as well. If the fastpath doesn't work and the waiter_lock itself is
taken then it seems that the lock itself taken.
This patch also adds "rt_spin_unlock_after_trylock_in_irq" to keep lockdep
happy. If we managed to take the wait_lock in the first place we should also
be able to take it in the unlock path.

commit 5cc41e0 upstream.

WHen registering a new binfmt_misc handler, it is possible to overflow
the offset to get a negative value, which might crash the system, or
possibly leak kernel data.

Here is a crash log when 2500000000 was used as an offset:

Use kstrtoint instead of simple_strtoul. It will work as the code
already set the delimiter byte to '\0' and we only do it when the field
is not empty.

Tested with offsets -1, 2500000000, UINT_MAX and INT_MAX. Also tested
with examples documented at Documentation/admin-guide/binfmt-misc.rst
and other registrations from packages on Ubuntu.
