How to set num_pclass and num_sample params?

By looking at the config files for Office and OfficeHome exps I noticed that one of the difference is in the values of num_pclass and num_samples parameters for data loading. How are these params used? How should I choose their values if testing the code on a different dataset?

1) num_pclass (A) * num_samples (B) are hypers for class-wise sampling in CDD, it enables each batch composes of num_class* num_samples samples, i.e., contain samples from B classes, and each class contains A samples.

2. The setting is different between Office31 and OfficeHome because Office is smaller dataset and some classes hold a few samples.

3. Empirically, we found the setting of the two parameters does not lead to very large fluctuation in the performance.
   As for applying to custom datasets, we suggest you adjust A according to the samples that each class contains. The larger A, the model could obtain a better estimation of source/target distribution, such that facilitate better alignment across domains.

I have some other questions so I'll ask them here if it is ok for you.
For example:
In table 5 of the paper you have 2 rows for your method, one marked as "O" and the other as "U". I understand that in the latter case you assume to not have prior knowledge about the setting. However what I don't understand is the difference from the point of view of the implementation which leads to the 2 different results (I assume that for the two rows the numbers of common/source private/target private classes are the same, am I correct?). Considering that I am interested in the openset case (O) I would like to run the code following this setting and therefore avoid the U configuration

We present the OSDA results under two scenarios, U and O. I think you have understood the main difference between two settings. Under the O assumption, we adjust our method with the prior knowledge that only target domain possesses private classes. I will release the O version recently and will notify you then.
