River Ebon

The River Ebon stretches from Lizard Head in the north to the northern reaches of the Black Swamp in the south. From its northern mouth, it flows southward, marking Delta's western boundary. It then turns west, flows past Middie's sheep farm and the chain of lakes thereabouts, before turning south once more, meandering until it grazes the Silver River, where it turns west yet again and flows to the gulf. It was originally named "the Black River", to contrast the White River (now the "Silver") and to reflect its at-the-time believed egress through the Black Swamp, a mistake caught later-on by map analysis. It was, at the start of 2026, renamed to "the River Ebon", in reference to the artificial Dark Forest that was created beside its northern reaches. Aside from Delta and the plains thereby, it has one structure beside it, located near its western egress: one of Hoagie's Mushrooms. In its original state, it became unnavigable southwest of the plains, passing above a number of hills between there and where it meets the Silver; Swenthorian dredged this path sometime in the early 2020s, when he likewise dredged the Silver.
