Nextcloud 32 support

Hi Sergey,

Nextcloud 32 was just released. Appointments is not marked compatible with this latest version.

Hope so see a release with Nextcloud Hub Autumn 2025 support soon.

I tried deploying it anyway. It gives me a 'Site could not be found' response with a button to return to nextcloud.
Have been trying to figure it out but i am not getting anywhere right now.

For me there was an issue since the dav-class was not autoloaded (before), and a class_exists()-check (explicitly with autoloading disabled) therefor failed. Temp-fix was to allow autoloading.

lib/Backend/BCSabreImpl.php, in checkCompatibility():
if (class_exists($className, false) && defined($className . '::CALENDAR_TYPE_SUBSCRIPTION')) {

To allow autoloading adjust "false" to "true" in the class_exists.

The missed class "OCA\DAV\CalDAV\CalDavBackend" is provided as part of the app "dav" (WebDAV endpoint) which received an update with NC 32. It seems the core made changes to use lazy-loading / avoid loading classes in some cases, if I see right. Maybe that class was already loaded in the past and now is only loaded on demand afterwards.

Booking an appointment is possible, but no emails are being sent. I'm missing the confirmation-mail. The appointment is booked but unconfirmed. The code suggests the DavListener shoudl pick up an event and send out mails. It seems like the handler is not being called.

Thank you for the report. Bug confirmed. A fix will be released as soon as possible.

@SergeyMosin Tried to dig into this quite a while now. The event is registered, I get to the call in CalDavBackend.php before the Updated-event is supposed to occur - but the DavListener ist never instanciated. Other apps like "spreed" seem to register for that event the exact same way. Do you have a hint?

My best guess is because the OCA\DAV\Events\CalendarObjectUpdatedEvent event class was changed to OCP\Calendar\Events\CalendarObjectUpdatedEvent here: nextcloud/server@dee1d4f#diff-08d9ceb0185b03a66c780ed0fd7eb645b29cf2b1c1e78f6793e46278168d40ca

NC team did a lot of backend related work(changes) for the v32 update, hence some code in the Appointments needs to be update for full NC32 compatibility. I'll try to push an new release later today.

@SergeyMosin That did the trick. Because of the shortened classnames (use-statements) I did not notice (nor expect) the change in the namespace - also from OCA to OCP. Doing that replacement brought the emails back. The DavListener worked as expected, like it did before. (This caused quite some headache and let me debugging in the complete wrong direction.)
Thanks for your help! The fast response was highly helpful to get this running again.
When you have a new patched version I'll be happy to give it a testrun here, if you like.

Background: OCA was not public API. That's why the devs felt easy to swap the namespaces around (and make it public API under OCP). Discussion for that is at: nextcloud/server#51082

Updated and I can confirm the update as well as date-booking works for me. We had the manual patches before already and now updated to the final 2.5.0. Thanks a lot!
