Activating sliding sync option results in blinking sidebar

Describe the bug

when i activate sliding sync it loads for some time with (petting cats) then i get to normal Homescreen and the sidebar with the spaces begin to blink widely with appearing and disappearing notifications

Expected behavior

maybe show an indicator if its still loading because that blinking is irritating
