Cannot render non-English fonts

Describe the bug

Meteor cannot render non-English fonts
The specific performance is in the non-English language to open the selection of blocks/creatures UI and Nametags to render the name of the item
This Bug can be traced back to Issue#333
This is a 3 year old bug
I made a PR request to fix this Bug 2 weeks ago (#4713) but there was no feedback from a project manager
This is important for non-native English speakers. No one wants the UI they're using to fail to render fonts

Steps to reproduce

1. Switch the game language to Chinese/Japanese
2. Open any window in the meteor GUI that displays non-English characters
3. You'll see blank space where characters should be
