Unsupported file type detected when syncing file with no extension

Version: Mergin qgis plugin Version 2026.2.1

Problem: I've added files to the project that do not have an extension. When syncing the existing project, the dollowing error is displayed (I've redacted som server info):

Client error:
Detail: Unsupported file type detected: dados/processamento/log. Please remove the file or try compressing it into a ZIP file before uploading.
HTTP Error: 400
