My name is Manuel Ventura. I am Brazilian and also a Portuguese citizen, which allows me to work both in Brazil and in the European Union. I am a Data Engineer, currently studying Control and Automation Engineering at PUC-MG, and I hold a Mechanical Technician degree from CEFET-MG.
I design and maintain pipelines on GCP (BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Cloud Run, and Airflow) using Python and SQL, as well as implementing integrations and automations for data ingestion and processing. I work on building and evolving a corporate data warehouse on GCP, with a strong focus on governance, data quality, observability, and performance/cost optimization. I integrate data from microservices, transactional databases, and multiple APIs. I also design and operate Machine Learning APIs focused on travel recommendations and corporate expense forecasting.
Before moving into data, I spent five and a half years working with automotive line modeling and industrial robot programming (Comau, Fanuc, and KUKA), and took part in applied robotics competitions (Trincabotz/CEFET-MG) at both national and international levels, including RoboGames (California, USA). I believe knowledge has no limits and I am constantly looking to learn more.
