Set temperature not working on Bosch BTH-RA (Room Thermostat II) [+M]

What happened?

I tried to create an automation to set the desired temperature (occupied_heating_setpoint) to 17 degrees using the "Set value for Bosch Thermostat Temperature" action. This didn't work when I executed it and from the logs I got Error while executing automation automation.TempTest: Value 17.0 for number.bosch_thermostat_local_temperature_calibration is outside valid range -5.0 - 5.0.
After that I discovered in the Bosch Thermostat overview in mqtt that the temperature widget's entitiy Id is number.bosch_thermostat_local_temperature_calibration

Changing the desired temperature manually from home assistant works fine.

Another Thing: In zigbee2mqtt the device is listed as "Last seen Disabled Availability:Disabled".

What did you expect to happen?

The desired temperature to be changed appropriately.

How to reproduce it (minimal and precise)

Setup zigbee2mqtt, connect the thermostat via zigbee and update the firmware (to 318927168). I use SLZB-06.

You have to send both temperatures form HA to work (low and high)

local_temperature_calibration is not the occupied_heating_setpoint you are trying to change. You seem to be targeting the wrong entity (or something is incorrectly mapped).

This is the setting I use.
I mean since the temperature widget's entitiy Id already says number.bosch_thermostat_local_temperature_calibration I think it's reasonable to assume that the mapping is incorrect

You are using mqtt on device. That temperature is for the calibration… use climate entity to set desired temperature

Thank you. This was the reason, setting the temperature using climate entity works.

This seems to be an issue how temperature calibration is exposed to HA. I'll take a closer look.
Maybe there're new guidelines from HA? 🤔
