Yeah, this seems like it would work. I'm also pretty sure we can also just call the field-layout-computation function here, and remove the effort in duplicating its work. The earlier |

Hopefully this works as kind of a quick fix. It would be nice to do better, maybe by computing layouts more lazily, but that would be more involved.
