Fixes JuliaGraphics#301 I still need to update the figure in doc/figures/menu.png to correspond to these changes.

Looks in general good for me. However, actually the plan is to get rid of README.md and instead get all this into the Documenter.jl-based system that you yesterday edited in docs/ Thus I would not put to much effort polishing the README.md. |

So would you like me to add a page to docs/src/manual about the menubars? I'll basically copy what you have in the readme.md file... |

yes this sounds good. The goal is in general to get a better documentation for Gtk.jl. So maybe you could look around the current state of the Documenter based thing and look how the text from Readme.jl fits in. I just wanted to make clear that whats in Readme.jl is really not ideally structured and the we hopefully get a more coherent story in the new Documentation system. |
