As discussed in JuliaLang/julia#43133 (comment), I'm going to leave this as a draft until the 1.7.0 release process is finished. That way, we can avoid the risk of accidentally breaking the buildbots in the middle of the release process. |

Actually FWIW I think in this case if we merged this PR and FreeBSD CI started failing, that would be revealing a real regression in the build. |
