Sync stable docs with latest release?

Similarly to JuliaAstro/SAOImageDS9.jl#10, could the stable docs here be updated so that they will display correctly on the JuliaAstro site?

I have updated the doc. almost completely as of commit 0c31550. The CI says that the doc correctly builds and deploys but I cannot see the new version (there is no dev entry in the doc. menu). @icweaver Any idea of how to fix this?

The dev option was removed as part of our canonization process so that stable docs are prioritized on the JuliaAstro site while on-demand dev doc updates are still available at their usual url.

I've set up a PR here to add your package to our site; please feel to make any edits. Once you've cut a new stable release, I think things should be good to go!

OK new XPA version (0.3.0) has been released and I have merged your PR (thank you for providing it). But the new docs are still not there... I must say that I am a bit lost. Apart from your link to the canonization process is there any other information that could help me understand?

It's my understanding that TagBot can sometimes trip up on creating the new release, so I just re-ran that part manually. It looks like CompatHelper took a nap over on SAOImages.jl, so I also just gave it a nudge

Things have been changing a good bit on the JuliaAstro side, so I'm sorry if some parts have not been as transparent as they could be. The new organization scheme we've been going for is to have our "main" stable docs hosted under JuliaAstro as a canonical source of truth. In reality, this is just a copy of the usual docs generated in each JuliaAstro package repo aggregated into the JuliaAstro website repo with MultiDocumenter.jl. We also had a copy of the dev docs included at one point, but decided to remove them because they would always be at least a day behind the original version since the entire JuliaAstro site is only rebuilt once a day. Our thinking is that developers can still access the repo-specific link for their package as usual to see their most recent changes, while the stable docs will still point to the JuliaAstro site

Anyway, that's a brief overview of the lore to date. It is very much an evolving process, so any suggestions about making things more cohesive are welcome!

Thank you so much for your help and explanations. I can also see the dev doc. I think that we can close this issue. I will focus on SAOImage/DS9 now.
