The italics in Variable font will not auto pair with straight type #270
Description
This is because the Italic Version is made different FontFamily. That's the only way to ship Variable fonts at the moment.
It will be fixed when Italics will be incorporated in single file with straight type. Still we think that even in this state it can be useful for solving design tasks.
Possible solutions
— Use non variable font.
— Use only straight type with "auto" italics in editor. Not recommended.
