[VOTE] Add option to only remove files older than a certain time

It's pretty much what it says there. Particularly for the Recycle Bin, I'd like to be able to delete only files that were deleted more than, say, 30 days ago. Maybe for other files as well, but probably a tighter timescale for them.

I don't think this option will be useful, because if you would like to keep Temporary files you can just not clean them up, also about "Recycle Bin", you can just uncheck that cleaning option.

My thinking is that if I haven't recovered something from the Recycle Bin for about a month, I'm unlikely to want to get it back, but I may realise I have deleted something more recently that I do want to recover. So this option would shrink the size of the Recycle Bin while still keeping more recent deletions available. I agree it is less useful for other temporary files

I honestly don't get the idea of keeping files you are likely to need in the near future in the recycle bin (btw, recycle bin still consumes space for files that are stored in it, so you aren't saving any space by keeping them in the recycle bin).

If you didn't know, but temporary files are only one time use for most applications, meaning they are created only to accomplish a specific task and when that task is completed the program closes the file (allows the file to be accessed by other programs), meaning you don't really need to keep most temporary files, there are some rare cases of temporary files being reused but most of the apps that Temp_Cleaner GUI cleans up its temporary files only tend to have one time use temporary files.

I'm not intentionally keeping things in the Recycle Bin with the idea that I might need them, I have no idea why you thought that was what I meant. However, I may realise that something I had deleted turns out to be something I still need. After all, this is why we have a Recycle Bin rather than deleting the files irrevocably.
So I would certainly be shrinking the size of the recycle bin because I would be removing files that had been deleted before my cut-off point.
I fully understand what you mean about temporary files. Some of these, such as caches, might still be useful but would be recreated at some cost to performance when needed.

If you didn't know, most applications create one-time use temporary files, meaning temporary files that are only used to help the program accomplish one task, and when that task is completed, the program closes the file (makes it available for other programs/processes to reuse it again), but the idea here is that most programs tend to forget deleting them after they are done with whatever task they created that file for, that's why I said it's not necessary to split the temporary files into two halves like you suggested.

Yes, thank you for your suggestion, but I have to prioritize features that will benefit most users, and currently I don't see any widespread need for this functionality so I don't think I can implement it in the next upcoming major update.

I will keep this issue open for now and maybe pin it to see if there will be more interest in the near future to help me reconsider the implementation process.
