Yes !!
Of course you can 👍 (glad to see i'm not alone).
I spent the last 4 weeks trying to adapt lineageOS 16 but i have a Kernel issue.
But :
I had a good result on Halium by switching to cyanogen/msm8916-common (cm-14.1)
Just let me check and update the repo.
I'll write you back before saturday.

I'm glad you started the port as I have never done anything similar.
I was looking last days for LineageOS image and it looks not supported anymore. The microG project has an image and it's indeed based on Lineage 14.1 (cm-14.1) that seems to be the last working image that I know.
Long story short: Do not rush but feel free to ping me (also on Telegram @cibersheep if you like :) )
