Ability to have a short version on public page, with details when clicked

It would be truly excellent if items could have the option to be kept simple on the public home page, but when a user clicks on the event, they're taken to the full screen page with more details.

If this simply meant we could optionally truncate event information on the homepage, that would work well too.
