Error with the eisvogel.latex config file when generating pdf

I get the following error when trying to generate the report.pdf with pandoc

Error producing PDF.
! LaTeX Error: No counter 'none' defined.

See the LaTeX manual or LaTeX Companion for explanation.
Type  H <return>  for immediate help.

I've tried with the example-report.md and get the same error.

the line in question in the error is a line in eisvogel.latex, which i copied directly from this repository.

Some guidance on this issue would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.

Found a workaround for anyone else that run into this issue.
Define a dummy counter called none at the start of your report.md file
