Issue
CLOVER is currently able to only consider a single PV technology. Ideally, multiple technologies could be included.
Changes to the structure of the solar-performance calculations, including the introduction of an abstract base class, mean that the PVPanel class is now an outlier: the rest of the renewable-generation technologies expose calculate_performance methods. Enforcing this as part of the PVPanel class makes Pythonic sense, but it also makes sense to implement this function with the ability to assess the performance of various different types of PV cell.

The only alternative is to not do this and leave as is 😜 .
Note
- This has been done previously in CLOVER, and the conclusion was the Silicon is the most widely-used PV technology. However, whilst this is true not, the ability of CLOVER to consider multiple technologies would be an asset. Further, it would enable PV-T collectors that utilise different solar cells technologies, as well as semi-transparent solar cells, to be considered.
