iOS/macOS/watchOS 26 stopped working with HomeKit cameras

I'm running go2rtc version=1.9.9 platform=linux/amd64 revision=fa580c5 and have a few cameras exposed from go2rtc to HomeKit using configuration like this:

homekit:
  brama_sub:
    device_id: brama_sub
    device_private: brama_sub
    name: Brama Sub
    pairings:
      - client_id=redacted&client_public=redacted&permissions=1
    pin: redacted

They work just fine in Apple OSes (iOS/macOS/watchOS ) < 26, but on the betas (since the first one in June) the are showing as unavailable. I haven't reported it earlier from lach of time/having some hope they might revert it (but after 7th beta that went away). Since the betas are coming to an end there's a 99% chance it will ship that way, effectively breaking the feature.

They were always presented as Compatible with HomeKit: No, but they used to work without issues.

Is there any fix/workaround for this?

I’m running into a similar issue - go2rtc is reporting the following error:

11:15:04.105 pm error undefined error=hap: PairVerify from: 192.168.1.6:53521, with unknown client_id: REDACTED caller=github.com/AlexxIT/go2rtc/internal/homekit/homekit.go:189

The IP address however that is calling looks like my HomePod rather than my iPhone (or other iOS devices). I have tried re-pairing etc without avail. I wonder if the streams and HomeKit devices are now trying to pair via whatever HomeKit bridge and using a different client ID and private key?

i first discovered this issue in iOS 26 beta 2 but it still happens in the latest beta 9

"No Response - This camera is not responding"

the go2rtc cameras works fine on all versions prior to iOS 26 (iOS, macOS, tvOS, etc)

@rursache I use scrypted now for homekit and it is super smooth.

Just upgraded to IOS 26 RC and experiencing this now too.
For what it's worth I also updated all my AppleTVs incase that was a factor.

@AlexxIT can we you prioritize this? the new iphones are being shipped next week and will run iOS 26 meaning go2rtc homekit is 100% broken out of the box

I've reported the issue, to let the creator/contributors know it exists. Any comments in this issue that bring no additional information - I.e. demanding someone (who's doing that for free in their spare time) prioritizes solving it - does not seem to be helpful.
