HEVC RTC only work with force

i use WebRTC integration in HA. now i change utils.py go2rtc version to 1.9.9 and set my IPcam to h265/hevc and add webrtc-hevc enable flag in my browser, Chrome.

But the stream still use MSE, only if i add mode: webrtc change it to RTC. I dont know, it is a bug, or normal behavior?

Because without "force", both MSE and WEBRTC are checked, and an algorithm determines which technology should be used.

Currently, for H265, it usually decides for MSE, see:

go2rtc/www/video-rtc.js

However, the function could be extended, for example with something like this:

I try your changes but it still MSE if i not set it up the mode to WebRTC

The main problem is that if i Force WebRTC, stream not work if i connect HA extralnally (Nabu Casa for example) because in this case it switch back to MSE, but the "force" command block these.

These changes make sense when Chrome is updated to version 136.

@AlexxIT i add the chrome flags to support webrtc/hevc. or also need to wait 136?

Flags are used by few users. Everyone will get Chrome update.
In the short term, you can just use (force) mode: webrtc.

Hi there,

Today i got chrome 136, but the auto mode still not work. I need to use auto mode and can not able to use force mode, because in force mode, the streams are not work in my home assistant app, if not in same network with cameras
