I’m glad to see your enthusiasm towards NeoNest, and I’m super excited to witness the amazing contributions you’ll be making! 🙌

Before we start assigning issues, please go through the following important points:

📌 Issue Assignment Guidelines:

1. ✅ I’ve read your comments — don’t worry, I will assign the issues once the GSSoC team gives the green flag to begin Phase 2 (NeoNest is a Phase 2 project).
2. ⭐ It is MANDATORY to star and fork the repo.
3. 🔀 Issues will be assigned based on:
   • First come, first serve 🏃‍♀️
   • Your skillset relevant to the issue 💡
4. 🧍 Only one issue at a time per person will be assigned.
5. ✅ You must complete your currently assigned issue before asking for a new one.

⏱️ Suggested Timelines for Issue Completion:

To ensure everyone gets a fair chance and the project runs smoothly, here’s a rough estimate:

• 🟢 Easy: 1–2 weeks
• 🟡 Intermediate: 2–3 weeks
• 🔴 Hard: 3–4 weeks

(Deadlines aren’t strict, but please try to stick to them so others get opportunities too.)

9. 📄 For enhancement issues (like docs or features):

hey @AditiGupta-tech the discussion tab is not working so i am just leaving a comment here for some reason upon running npm install i am getting a error about react-picker not supporting React-19 so i tried upgrading it that did not work so i had to downgrade React to ver. 18 hope that is not a issue

Hey Keep react v19 only. While installing use --legacy-peer-deps Eg. npm install react-picker --legacy-peer-deps. Kindly upgrade the react version from 18 to 19.

You guys must be facing a conflict of dependencies due to react v19. Here's what you can do to resolve it:

1. DO NOT change the react version as that will break the site.
2. While installation, use npm install --legacy-peer-deps to avoid dependency conflicts.

Note:
If you change the react version to 18, you will be asked to change that and follow the steps as provided here. Your PR won't be merged without these changes!

hey @AditiGupta-tech it is not working it is not letting me delete and re-download react-picker and having issues with overiding peer i think you should install other packages

• react-day-picker
• react-datepicker
• @headlessui/react (with custom UI)

I understand you're facing issues with react-picker and the React version. It's important to keep React at version 19 to avoid breaking the site. Here are a few steps you can try:

1. Use the Legacy Flag: When installing react-picker, run: Run-
   npm install react-picker --legacy-peer-deps

2. Clear Cache: If that doesn't work, try clearing the npm cache:
   Run-
   npm cache clean --force

3. Reinstall: After clearing the cache, run:
   Run-
   npm install

hey the issue is fixed i just had to use bun and not npm
